Olight Glock 19 Light Laser - I recently completed training on my trusty Glock 19. While we were focused on adding the Holosun Red Sight, one comment kept coming up. "Don't shoot in the dark." It's not like we don't shoot at night. Just don't shoot at anything or anyone you can't see clearly. One of the fundamentals of shooting is positive target identification. So how do you identify your target at night? Of course, the gun is equipped with a light. Olight is no stranger to The Gear Bunker, so the recently added updated BALDR S caught my eye.
BALDR S: a combination of highly visible green light and 800 lumen white light. Actual time has been updated to 140 minutes.
Olight Glock 19 Light Laser
The compact form factor makes the BALDR S the perfect companion to the compact Glock 19. This new Olight has more power than the BALDR Mini with 200 lumens. The BALDR S produces an impressive 800 lumens at a distance of 130 meters. So raise the bar again to highlight a weapon of this size. An added visible green laser provides a means of targeting for those who desire it. User can select light only, light/laser or laser only. Increasing the efficiency of this light is well thought out.

Reliable Track: Drag the track adapter freely back and forth to adjust the light to the desired position. Fast installation and removal in one second
Mounting the BALDR S is easy with a quick release lever. The BALDR S has a custom Glock rail, but a Picatinny 1913 rail is available for those using it. After the gun is installed and before the quick release is tightened, the front and rear lights can be adjusted to the rail. Final adjustments to the user's personal settings Make buttons to lock those adjustments once set to prevent unwanted movement. It also includes a smart magnetic charging cable to power the lights at 3.7V 380mAh. A red/green light inside the cable indicates the charging status.
Light/laser activation is activated via two-way switches around the trigger guard. A quick press turns on the light. Another quick tap turns it off. Press and hold the sensor to activate a short flash. And when you don't need the full 800 lumens, a double flick of the switch returns it to a reasonable 100 lumens.
Olight is known for filling niche mid-range guns. Well equipped and fully equipped lights at a price that anyone can justify. While not intended for combat, we're confident these lights will serve the general gun owner well. Things to remember: The maximum 800 lumens is only available for the first 60 seconds. Before dropping straight down to 300 lumens for the remaining 39 minutes. Therefore, it is important to remove the battery. Also worth mentioning is the IPX4 rating. Meaning, BALDR S is only resistant. Despite these minor flaws, I'll stick with the EDC Glock 19 for now.
